On July 2 took place at the Era del Gitano Cultural Center (Albuñol, Granada) the II Symposium on Microbiology and Soils – Costa de Granada, under the slogan “Root Challenge: Empowering the Soil for Unstoppable Growth”. A conference organized by the City Council of Albuñol and Bioera, which brought together technicians, experts and agricultural producers with a common goal: to improve soil health through the use of microbiological tools.

During the symposium, key aspects for sustainable agricultural management were addressed, such as:
- Fertilization management based on soil and water analysis.
- Impact of solarization on soil microbiology.
- How to optimize mycorrhizal potential through fertilization.
- Control and management of nematodes.
- Technical decision making based on data collected through technology applied to the field.
One of the highlights of the day was the presentation by Elías Martínez, agricultural engineer from Bioera’s Technical Product Department, who presented “Microbial fertilization strategies to increase crop resilience to different types of stress”.
Bioera would like to give special thanks to the collaboration of:
- José Manuel Torres, from Hiotera Greenhouse, a collaborating company of the event.
- Manuel Valenciano, from AlgaEnergy Iberia, collaborating company of the event.
- María José Sánchez Sánchez, Mayoress of Albuñol.
- Carmen Lidia Reyes, delegate of Agriculture of the Junta de Andalucía in Granada.
- Ángel Rivas, Councilman of Agriculture of the City Council of Albuñol.

As well as to all the speakers, researchers and professionals who shared their experience, and especially to our commercial delegate Yolanda Muñoz, for her involvement, commitment and dedication to make this enriching day possible.
At Bioera we are committed to the transfer of knowledge and the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices based on the power of soil microbiology.
Thanks to all attendees!
See you at the next event!
